CBSE 12th Maths Paper was extremely tough: Teachers may write to the board regarding this

A class 12 student who appeared for the CBSE class 12th Maths paper told that their school teachers and teachers from other schools will be sending letters to the board requesting the lenient marking of the papers plus award of the grace marks. This is because the paper was really tough and lengthy; and could not be completed on time. Students were highly disappointed with their performance and were found sobbing after they came out of the examination halls. It literally left the students perplexed and dejected.

School education ministry wants CBSE schools under state vigil

To crack the whip on CBSE affiliated schools, school education minister Mr. Paras Jain asked CBSE schools to be monitored by respective state governments as well.  It was also suggested that uniform courses should be taught in all the states of the country. To implement this, NCERT textbooks should be made compulsory in all the states. Private school teachers should be given 5 more years to complete the professional courses and BEd/DEd courses should be restructured for strengthening teachers' training courses.

He added that RTE clause of not failing any of the students till class 8 should be revoked and that board exams should be introduced in both classes - 5th and 8th - to improve results. English should be made compulsory right from the Class 1.

CBSE’s teacher eligibility test filled with errors

The recently conducted Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) by CBSE was all filled with errors. Over 10 OMR sheets from Delhi region gone missing while a reading passage in Marathi paper was incomplete.

Serial numbers of some of the OMR sheets also did not match with those of the question paper. Although the Board admitted of the printing errors in the Marathi paper and agreed upon giving the suitable compensation, it didn't yet replied on the issue of missing OMR sheets.

CBSE may bring back X board examinations

The HRD ministry's day-long consultation on the new education policy witnessed an overwhelming demand by states to give away the no-detention policy till class VIII. They also insisted on bringing back the class X board examination in CBSE schools. Some of the states like Nagaland raise issues like paucity of Hindi teachers in the state. They wanted UP and Bihar to loan Hindi teachers to them. Some other issues like poor quality of the education were also raised at the occasion.
